Melbourne based singer/songwriter CHERIE LAURENT has released her heartfelt new single and music video called Daddy.
Daddy is a tear-jerking song that represents the sounds of a soul’s regret. In this song, Cherie reaches out to the spirit of her deceased father, opening her heart, soul, and emotions of her lifelong struggle for the approval of a father now gone. Tormented by the struggle to keep moving forward in life and feeling she was a disappointment to a father she so dearly loved. She explains to him that she loved him and felt she had no choice but to run away. She finds herself apologizing for not being able to be the daughter that he always wanted.
