Chavez Cartel are set to release their brand new E.P Red Flag Blues through End Of The Trail Records and via all streaming services on March 1, 2024. The lead single Seven Year Switch is out now.
The E.P consists of the brooding alt-rock masterclass No One’s Watching Over, the rock n roll swagger Red Flag Blue’s to the riff-heavy 7 Year Switch and the infectious What Do You Say. The full body of work creates a delicious juxtaposition of sounds echoing the likes of Rival Sons and The Cure.
The band state: “Red Flag Blues is a continued development on the sounds that shaped our previous record ‘Mans Best Friend’. I wouldn’t say it’s more a more polished record but it is a more complete record. We’ve played around with atmospherics and layers to really try and push our sound further into our own cinematic/film score rock sort of direction. It’s a song about addressing hard issues in a more direct manner. Cutting off the snakes head so to speak. There’s some harsh topics being tackled and there’s some harsh elements there in the music. Sonically and lyrically it’s an accurate expression of what we are and what we’ve been through to get here.“
