“We wanted to get around and play interstate because we haven’t done a lot of that with previous releases,” declared Rob Giles, bassist for Sydney’s Carbon Black on the goals for their recently released album End of This.
“We did an E.P about four years ago and we played around a little bit but we really wanted to get out and about so we got up to Brisbane a couple of weeks ago and we have Adelaide in the New Year so playing some dates interstate was definitely a priority for us.”
In the full interview, Rob discloses what other dates the band has coming up, the reaction so far to End of This, how the sound has changed musically from their debut E.P Principium, how much pressure there is going from a debut E.P to a full-length album, playing with international heavyweights and more.
