Captives Announce Tour

Share This:

Captives are about to take you “Over The Rainbow” – their brand new album will be captivating fans from Friday 30th March 2018 – and today they are dropping the cracking first single from the record, “Paint it in Blue”! The record will be available to pre-order from Friday February 9th 2018 – with all information about digital pre-orders and physical pre-order bundles available at captives.com.au.
That’s not all – they are also heading out on a 4 date joint tour with fellow Australian rock legends & mates Born Lion! The “Born Captives” Tour in Feb/March 2018 takes in Melbourne (23rd February, Bendigo Hotel), Adelaide (24th February, Ed Castle), Brisbane (2nd March, Flamin’ Galah) and Sydney (3rd March, Chippendale Hotel) and celebrates new music from both bands. This tour is sure to pack the most solid one-two punch of Aussie Rock lineups this year (yep, calling it early!). Tickets for the tour go on sale 10am local time 25th January at celebratethelie.com and captives.com.au.
New single “Paint in in Blue” is all-out cracking rock track – Vocalist Aaron Damon is more than excited about this new album, tour and single. “We have had a little while in between drinks, so to come back with all these announcements, a sick tour and the best music we have ever laid down, we are so god-damn stoked.” A video for the track will come soon – the track will be live in iTunes, Spotify and Unearthed from February 9!
In a case of “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it”, Captives once again worked with Tom Larkin (Producer) and Samuel K Sproull (Mixing Engineer) in the now-Homesurgery Recordings Studios (nee Studios in the City.) for this new record and it has produced what is their best work to date.
Last week, Captives and their management team at Bear Parts Music announced that they put pen to paper to sign their catalog for worldwide publishing over to Cooking Vinyl Publishing Australia, the distribution of their new record to Inertia, and a new Booking Agency Deal to Harbour Agency, with Jess Wust now handling the boys’ live performance booking.
Captives have enjoyed rotation play on triple j and triple j unearthed (they were one of the top 50 most played artists on triple j unearthed in 2014!), some love on Triple M, and have supported the likes of CogThe DamnedPulled Apart By HorsesGrenadiersBorn Lion and Shihad, as well as toured their own hectic, raucous shows and tours.
“Over the Rainbow” will be released into the world on Friday March 30 via Inertia Distribution and will be available to pre-order in iTunes and Digital Outlets from Friday February 9th. Single “Paint it in Blue” will be available in iTunes (as the grat track with the pre-order) and Spotify from February 9th as well.
