Since emerging onto the music scene in 2018 Light The Torch have quickly risen through the ranks to become one of the most recognisable acts doing the rounds.
Having Howard Jones (former Killswitch Engage) as vocalist has been a large attraction, but it is the engine room of Francesco Artusato (guitar) and Ryan Wombacher (bass) that has laid the heavy foundations which has seen Light The Torch produce yet another masterclass of an album with their second release You Will Be The Death Of Me via Nuclear Blast coming out on June 25.
Artusato spoke with HEAVY earlier in the week to discuss the album.
“I think we definitely wanted to push certain aspects a little more,” he measured. “We wanted to have some of the… overall just a darker vibe, in a way of lyrical content and the songs. So, there’s more depth in this record. This is our being, how we feel with the lyrics and the music. In terms of sound, we have had time to evolve and polish a little more this time around, obviously being the second record, and trying to have a lot of catchy songs. Even the heavy songs still bring the catchy element. We like to see people move around live.”
