The Brewtality Festival is on again this year and HEAVY Music Magazine is proud to be a presenting partner. The event will be held on 8 August across two venues; The Tote and The Bendigo Hotel.
We caught up with Zombie Motors Wrecking Yard to get an insight into the band, what you can expect from them at Brewtality Festival and more.
What’s your latest release?
Just a demo so far, we are working a way on a debut album that we hope to have released by the end of the year.
How has 2015 started out for your band?
2015 has been sick as f*ck, it’s really our first year of playing regular shows. Before that we spent all our time in the barren country side killing hipsters that strayed too far from Sydney Road. We really enjoyed the Batpiss and Fuck The Fitzroy doom scene double header we did. Cool guys, and good mix of styles. Also, supporting Mammoth Mammoth was mint.
Can you give me a few words that would make me come over to your stage and watch your set?
Because we bring the ladies with our grooves and rugged looks, so it’s not a sausage fest at out shows.
What song is going to be the highlight of your Brewtality set, the one that will really engage with the crowd?
Galactic Motherfucker usually gets the crowd jumping. It’s about galactic stuff, and everyone loves space. Often it’s just the bit between your ears that confuses the most.
If there was one song in history that you could have written, what would it be and why?
Maybe The Lord’s Prayer, then we would actually be called Jesus and that bloke can make booze from water. That’s pretty mint.
