The Brewtality Festival is on again this year and HEAVY Music Magazine is proud to be a presenting partner. The event will be held on 8 August across two venues; The Tote and The Bendigo Hotel.
We caught up with The Ugly Kings to get an insight into the band, what you can expect from them at Brewtality Festival and more.
What’s your latest release?
Our latest single Goodbye that came out on the 21st of April. It’s a duet featuring Pierina O’Brien from the band The Love Bombs.
How has 2015 started out for your band?
2015 has been pretty busy for us so far. We just finished a brand new clip that we shot a couple months ago. We also finished the mixing and mastering of what is going to be our next EP later this year as well as writing new material. You can never relax if you want to keep moving forward in this industry.
Can you give me a few words that would make me come over to your stage and watch your set?
Lots of sweat, lots of facial hair and an earth shattering sound to go with it.
What song is going to be the highlight of your Brewtality set, the one that will really engage with the crowd?
Wicked Witch of Wonder always does the trick. It’s groovy, sexy and always gets the crowd going.
If there was one song in history that you could have written, what would it be and why?
Probably Jimi Hendrix’s Little Wing. An absolute masterpiece for its time and still to this day. Anything Jimi Hendrix really.
