The Brewtality Festival is on again this year and HEAVY Music Magazine is proud to be a presenting partner. The event will be held on 8 August across two venues; The Tote and The Bendigo Hotel.
We caught up with Flour to get an insight into the band, what you can expect from them at Brewtality Festival and more.
What’s your latest release?
Silverspoon b/w Feral Sow 7” via Buttercup Records and Morbid Thoughts LP out September via Poison City Records.
How has 2015 started out for your band?
We don’t tour and we don’t have any good stories about anything, except for the one time that Peter Convery played some stadium show in the UK with Def Leppard. That was with another band so I’m not claiming it as a Flour tour story, I was just saying it for no reason.
Can you give me a few words that would make me come over to your stage and watch your set?
Not really because then we would sound like semi arrogant idiots. But, if you like punk music with zero groove and massive hooks then you should watch our set.
What song is going to be the highlight of your Brewtality set, the one that will really engage with the crowd?
Probably our song that’s called Puberty Blues. It’s about having the blues when you’re going through puberty.
If there was one song in history that you could have written, what would it be and why?
I wish it was me that wrote Jump by Van Halen because it’s the shittest song of all time.
