Boston Manor have shared an acoustic version of Be Nothing. track Drowned In Gold. The song appears on the forthcoming reissue, the Be Nothing. 10 Year Anniversary edition, which is released on August 14 via Pure Noise.
Originally released in 2016 on Pure Noise Records, Be Nothing. – produced by Neil Kennedy – became an immediate hit with critics and fans for its deft wielding of alternative sounds and powerful, emotional songwriting. Be Nothing. set the blueprint from which Boston Manor would become the borderless, innovative rock band that they are today, spawning three key singles in Laika, Lead Feet, and Fossa. On the Be Nothing. 10 Year Anniversary collection, a number of the album’s original tracks are given special acoustic reworkings, including both Laika and Lead Feet, and the latest new offering, Drowned In Gold.
Guitarist Mike Cunniff comments on the latest acoustic offering: “Drowned In Gold was a really important song for us. It was written and recorded as a standalone single with Mike Sapone while we were demoing new songs for Welcome To The Neighbourhood. In my eyes, it was the perfect transition from Be Nothing. to Welcome To The Neighbourhood and allowed us to become more experimental with our music.”
