The Black Swamp trample back onto the road with new EP Witches (which will be released on February 1) – a Extended Playing celebration of the riff driven sludge sound they’ve become known for.
However, there’s a new voice interlaced in the grooves. Recorded at Housefox Studio’s in Sydney with studio head Ryan Miller (Black Rheno) at the helm of production, the new EP will mark the first release with vocalist Luke Hosking (Azreal) on board.
Witches delves further into The Swamp’s desire to bring the music straight from the band to the ear, with most of the instruments having been tracked live by the band. The quintet again focus in on raw sounds, channeling metal pioneers Black Sabbath and Doom/Sludge metallers Crowbar. The EP is released independently on February 1st 2018, available on CD via Bandcamp or for digital purchase or streaming across all platforms.
Rumours are it’s their heaviest offering yet which should make for a raucous live set!
Celebrating a year since the release of their second album, From Flesh To Dust, Flaming Wrekage are kicking off 2018 in the heaviest way possible.
They’ll be taking their unique brand of Australian thrash and death metal around the country once more, hitting old favourites and new faces alike.

…a serious piece of metal art that is hard to fault. “ – The Rockpit
From Flesh to Dust comes armed to the gills with violent old school thrash played at breakneck speed. Flaming Wrekage unleash a stunning array of fast and catchy riffs at a pace that barely pauses for breath..” – Loud Online
The comradery runs deep for these two bands, with each ready to incite some movement in the crowds.
Whether it’s a slow doom head nod or a thrashing of the neck, these two will have you covered.
