This March catch Black Rheno taking on their most ambitious headline tour to
date with a massive national tour hitting all major capitols plus a few
extra towns in between. As the tour name suggests, this is the final Black
Rheno tour off their debut EP release “Lets Start A Cult” before the band
comes out swinging with their first ever long player later in the year.
With 2017 seeing the guys share stages with a host of heavy weight national
and international acts such as Napalm Death, King Parrot, Iron Regan,
Psycroptic, Darkest Hour, Brujeria, Lock Up & Ringworm the guys are not
slowing down heading into 2018 with this huge run of shows and an album in
the works. Black Rheno have certainly made a name for themselves in the two
years since the bands incarnation, packing an undeniably huge wall of
sludging grinding grooving sounds from the Sydney 3 piece. Combined with one
hell raising live show as the band takes to the stage tearing everything to
bits while their frontman craws his way across the stage and in and out of
the crowds, its completely confrontational yet somehow insanely engagingly
funny at the same time. It’s this mix of a hell for leather and good times
approach that has given Black Rheno such a strong following in such a short
period in the Australian metal scene.
