Melbourne power metal quartet, Black Majesty are about to head back to Grapow Studio’s in Slovakia to record their next album.
The studio, owned by former Helloween guitarist Roland Grapow, will mark the third time the band have worked with the now famed producer. Grapow first worked with them on 2010’s In Your Honour and then again for 2012’s Stargazer. This will be their 6th full length release.
The band will head out in July amidst plans to also release a compilation album named The Royal Collection that will also feature rare tracks.
Formed in 2001 and signed to German label LMP Records, they are one of Australian metal’s most successful exports, having played numerous tours in Europe, including Wacken Open Air and Masters of Rock. On their own turf, they have had significant support slots playing along side Dragonforce, Nevermore, Saxon, Helloween and Paul DiAnno when they’ve toured Australia.
Black Majesty will next play at Melbourne venue Madhouse on May 3rd.
