Birthed in Fire with PAVILION

Share This:

Brisbane hard rock band Pavilion are riding the current resurgence of heavy music in the Sunshine state, recently releasing their first single ‘Hellfire’ with plans to follow that up with an another single and E.P before the year is out.

“It’s probably one of our heavier pieces, which I’m pretty proud of”, smiled vocalist/guitarist Peter Muldoon. “We started off as a heavy rock band and dabbled into the metal a little bit and that’s where we came up with ‘Hellfire’. There’s a lot of influences there from bands like Tremonti – his solo project stuff – and Trivium and bands like that. It’s quite technical on guitar as well so that’s always fun and then lyrically it explores the consequences of sin. It’s not so much of a religious song but it uses the ideology of Heaven and Hell and you will suffer the consequences if you sin. Hell is waiting for us sort of thing”.

In the full interview Peter discusses the history of pavilion, the fiery film clip to ‘Hellfire’ and the unexpected casualty while filming, other songs recorded at the same time that are yet to be released, the upcoming E.P and its title, their next single, the bands influences, the current state of the Brisbane heavy music scene, their upcoming single launches for ‘Hellfire’ and more.
