Bilby Brave is an emerging indie-folk project based on Gimuy Country, led by a young songwriter whose work has been quietly taking shape over years of reflection, creativity, and lived experience. Drawing from a deep well of personal moments—both challenging and uplifting—her songs weave together introspective lyrics and evocative melodies with a strong sense of storytelling.
Blending organic and atmospheric textures, Bilby Brave’s sound sits at the intersection of indie-folk and soul. Acoustic instrumentation, violin, and rich vocal harmonies are complemented by subtle synth layers, creating a sonic landscape that feels both grounded and contemporary. Influenced by artists such as Julia Jacklin, Bedouine, Alela Diane, and Lianne La Havas, the project embraces emotional nuance and understated power.
This track LOLA is “a tribute to my grandmother whose quiet love shaped my upbringing. Strong imagery paired with rhythmic guitar, percussion, layered harmonies and emotive violin carry memories of sacrifice and growing up—building to a heartfelt reflection on loss, distance, and the words I wish I’d said.”
