SOLENCE

SOLENCE—one of PANDORA’s “Rising Rock Artists To Watch In 2023” deliver high energy and endless optimism on their new track F**k The Bad Vibes, The song denotes the Sweden-formed,LA-based band’s signing with BETTER NOISE MUSIC who will release their new album later this year.

Fck The Bad Vibes combines big pop hooks with a dancefloor electro savvy and the heavy-yet-melodic intensity of these metal trailblazers. The result is a distinctive international sound, equal parts hypnotic and uplifting. SOLENCE have unveiled a witty music video for Fk The Bad Vibes that parodies Ghostbusters, making sure no “bad vibes” will ever be safe again. Co-directed by Michael Lombardi (Papa Roach, The Retaliators) and Myles Erfurth (Dead Sara, Ice Nine Kills).

We feel like heavy music nowadays has the same dark message and almost the same sound, which is fine, but we wanted to bring back some fun and a different energy to the scene,” says frontman MARKUS VIDESÄTER. “With ‘Fk The Bad Vibes,’ we tried to make it direct and fun, while still keeping our musical integrity intact. We love this song and are so proud of it. The message comes straight from the heart—it’s not easy going through life but sometimes you just gotta remind yourself that you’re in charge, and it’s fully possible to ‘Fk The Bad Vibes.’ This is our reminder to ourselves, and hopefully to you as well.”

CROSSBONE SKULLY

Rising new rock outfit CROSSBONE SKULLY released the thought-provoking new video for Money, Sex, or God. The band’s mastermind/frontman TOMMY HENRIKSEN (guitarist & musical director for Alice Cooper’s band and member of Hollywood Vampires) and guitarist Anna Cara announced the song’s release in late April, following the surprise reveal of the music video for the howl-inducing song I Am The Wolf.

The song ‘Money, Sex, or God’ was inspired by a conversation I had while watching a tv show,” elaborates HENRIKSEN. “On the show, they were saying everything always comes down to three things you should never talk about in life: financials, sexual preference, and religion. I immediately thought…well that’s easy…Money, $ex, or God. It was one of those songs where it rarely happens with me, that the lyrics just fell right out: ‘Pick your prize, what you gonna choose? / I bet you God, he’s gonna lose / But then…if it was up to me? You’re all gonna lose’… thank you, universe!”

FINISHED TICKET

Bay Area staple alt-rock group FINISH TICKET announced the highly awaited release of their sophomore album and debut effort, ECHO AFTERNOON, is confirmed for September 6. Co-produced by FINISH TICKET, Jim Kaufman (Danny Worsnop, Helmet, Atlas Genius), and Michael Coleman (Chappel Roan, Sure Sure, Em Beihold), ECHO AFTERNOON’s 12 tracks show the band at their most vulnerable as they narrate the struggles and anxiety of being stuck in limbo while trying to find an escape to a brighter future. The album is an emotional roller coaster, allowing listeners who’ve faced the uncertainty in their own lives to relate and to look forward to a brighter future.

FINISH TICKET also released the album’s video, Let You Go. The track’s introspective lyrics— “I just want to go where the world can’t get to me / I just want to be alone / Living in my mind with my body far behind / I just want to let you know that I’ll let you go”—are lightened with dreamy soundscapes.

‘Let You Go’ is about reaching a breaking point and fantasizing about leaving the stress of reality behind,” says vocalist Brendan Hoye. “The song was initially started when our record label at the time had us stuck in a state of limbo, but more specifically is about the freeing thought of leaving music behind when it causes you more frustration than happiness.”

FIRE FROM THE GODS

FIRE FROM THE GODS thought-provoking track Double Edged Sword tackles modern day society’s self-righteousness and insincere leanings. The Austin, TX-based band has collaborated with vocalist JAYDEN PANESSO of NYC metalcore outfit SYLAR to add further vigour to Double Edged Sword and shared a lyric video for the collaborative track which is included on their forthcoming digital deluxe version of 2022’s SOUL REVOLUTION, SOUL REVOLUTION DELUXE – THE COLLABS.
