Better Noise Music, home to bands including Five Finger Death Punch, The HU, Dirty Heads, Nothing More, Bad Wolves, Asking Alexandria and many more, have released their latest edition of The NOISE, their monthly trailer highlighting the label’s newest music. This month, the trailer features:
FROM ASHES TO NEW
Top 10 alt-metal vanguards FROM ASHES TO NEW released the emotionally charged new song Barely Breathing featuring female-fronted rock trio Against The Current. Adeptly juxtaposing clean vocals and rap verses delivered by FROM ASHES TO NEW founding member Matt Brandyberry alongside impassioned screams from frontman Danny Case, Barely Breathing, examines the dissolution of a turbulent romance whose lovers are left “barely breathing.” Against The Current vocalist Chrissy Costanza’s melodic vocals movingly add to the intimacy of the track.
“From the moment we created this song, we knew it was special,” says Case. “It brought a new angle and a fresh sound to the band and because of that, we knew we wanted to feature a singer that could add their own flair and truly give the song its own identity. Chrissy is a perfect addition to this song and her voice brings a dynamic that elevates the song to an even greater level.”
NOTHING MORE
Critically acclaimed, 3x-Grammy-nominated rock mainstays NOTHING MORE ignite 2024 with their emotionally riveting and cathartic new single If It Doesn’t Hurt. Focusing on the hard truths of a fractured and toxic romantic relationship, NOTHING MORE have teamed up with director Orie McGinness (Bad Omens, Spiritbox) to emphasize the song’s impassioned lyrical content and potent music with a new music video.
“Gaslighting, manipulation, narcissistic deceit and betrayal… this song was written while trapped and is sung now while free,” exclaims NOTHING MORE frontman Jonny Hawkins. “If you’re in toxic relationship and are waiting for a sign to get out…this is it.”

ASKING ALEXANDRIA
ASKING ALEXANDRIA shared their Dark Void video that presents contrasting themes of melancholy and aspiration of day-to-day life in the modern world, while seamlessly blending the band’s anthemic stadium rock sound with a call back to their metalcore beginnings.
“With the world seemingly getting darker and darker, it’s easy to see why so many of us struggle with anxiety, depression, loneliness,” relays guitarist BEN BRUCE. “This song is about fighting those demons that live in your head and trying your hardest to be your own saviour. Finding that inner strength to pull yourself out of the darkness.”
BAD WOLVES
BAD WOLVES refuse to follow. Instead, the platinum-certified, 5x #1 Hard Rock radio-charting band circumvent convention by stretching the boundaries of hard rock with earthquaking heaviness, enigmatic experimentation, and enthralling melodies. The group–John Boecklin (drums), Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz (lead vocals), Doc Coyle (lead guitar, backing vocals) and Kyle Konkiel (bass, backing vocals)— are starting a new chapter on their own terms with their fourth full-length album DIE ABOUT IT.
DIE ABOUT IT features the new song and video LEGENDS NEVER DIE. “We wanted to write a song for our heroes, whether that’s our children, mothers, fathers or the likes of, sending their stories into eternity, forever igniting spirits and imaginations of those who follow,” DL shares. “With every retelling, their legacies resonate forever. This song reminds us that true greatness can never be extinguished. Legends NEVER die.”
CORY MARKS
According to singer-songwriter CORY MARKS, 2024 will be A Different Kind Of Year as the dual-genre artist leans into his country side for his latest single. The rousing track was written post-pandemic as a feel-good anthem and was produced by longtime collaborator Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Shania Twain). A Different Kind Of Year will be included on MARKS’ forthcoming sophomore album, due later this year.
“It’s the start of a brand-new year, a chance for you to start fresh, refocus and see what is really important in this life,” shares MARKS. “This new song is all about good times, re-connecting with family and friends. Committing to yourself to make things better in the year ahead and not taking those special things for granted. It’s a country song for country people, so cheers. Here’s to you, here’s to me and a different kind of year!”
