Forged deep in the fiery pits of the underworld, Battlesnake have risen up to take the earth by storm….
And what a storm it has been. Just over 18 months ago, they were playing at a small, sweaty dive bar in Sydney on a Sunday night. By August of 2022 they were opening for the hottest band in the world, KISS and in April of this year they were hypnotising crowds nationwide, leaving jaws on the floor as they opened for The Smashing Pumpkins and Jane’s Addiction.
After a riotous Tuesday night set during the first day of BigSound in September they were the talk of the Valley and two nights later they played to a packed house at The Valley Loft in front of a room full of the music industry’s elite, fans and curious onlookers who had heard that Battlesnake was the must-see act of the conference. A month later, they did it again, owning the stage at Sydney’s inaugural SXSW.
With Management and Agents now firmly in their corner, Battlesnake are set to march forward with their new single, Pangea Breaker, and are laying the foundations for their biggest year yet in 2024.
With old-school twin guitar harmonies, storytelling that the great Dio would be proud of, menacing chant-like chorus and an ominous acoustic breakdown, Pangea Breaker is an instant classic that is destined to burrow itself in your brain and catapult you into the underworld Battlesnake have spewed forth from.
