The inaugural Knotfest Australia swept through this country recently, with three sold-out shows across three states. To say it was a triumphant debut for the festival is an understatement, but that success is largely to do with the quality of bands on the bill. Bands like Slipknot and Parkway Drive were two of the biggest crowd pullers, but it was one of the older bands on the line-up that attracted a lions share of attention.
That band was the legendary Megadeth, and HEAVY had the privilege of speaking with drummer Dirk Verbeuren not long before the band hit the stage for their final show in Brisbane.
