With the inaugural Knotfest Australia now in the rear mirror it’s time to reflect on possibly the best metal festival to land on these shores. Period.
With all three shows selling out, much of the festival’s success was the quality of the bands from the opening act to the headliner. While most people you ask will have a different band of the day for their own personal reasons, for HEAVY it was a neck-and-neck tie between Slipknot, Megadeth and Trivium, so we thought it only fitting to get Trivium guitarist Corey Beaulieu on the HEAVY couch to talk through a massive three days of music.
