When the line-up for Good Things 2023 was announced there was the usual excitement over bands that have not been to Australia for a number of years, but, surprisingly, some of the biggest cheers went up for a band who had only been out here less than 12 months earlier.
After a largely sold-out our in Australia in 2022 it was a little surprising to see the punk outfit invited back so soon, but organisers obviously knew what they were doing as Pennywise proved to be a masterstroke on the stacked bill, generating enough pulling power still to help the festival sell out two of its three shows and come painstakingly close to a whitewash on the third.
