The monster lineup for BLACKEN Open Air has been announced, boasting 30 bands from every corner of the country. Now in it’s fifth incarnation, the event inspires an annual pilgrimage into the heart of Australia.
Announced live on Triple J last night, International touring acts including Desecrator, Whoretopsy and Truth Corroded join the NT’s biggest bands such as The Horror, Miazma and Southeast Desert Metal.
The Racket host, Lochlan Watt, said “I’ve been to every BLACKEN and I’ll be going to this one. I’ve never been to a festival like it anywhere in the world, and I’ve been to a lot of festivals!”
The two day and night heavy metal camping event takes place over the Easter long weekend. The venue features two stages, two bars and two swimming pools. A fully-equipped campground, a skate ramp, street-art demos and food trucks are also on-site.
Tickets are on sale from Friday the 17th Feb.
