ATREYU Dust Off the Cobwebs

“You’ll just have to wait and see won’t you”, he teased. “I can’t give it all away now.” – Alex Varkatzas

With Atreyu returning to Australia for the first time in over three years, vocalist Alex Varkatzas joins HEAVY to tell us how excited they are to be coming back and what has changed with the band in that period.

“Not much man”, he laughed. “We’ve just been rockin’ and rollin’ all across the world but it’s been way too long since we’ve been to Australia and I’ve gotta tell you that we’re really looking forward to coming down for those shows”.

But he isn’t prepared to reveal what fans can expect.

“You’ll just have to wait and see won’t you”, he teased. “I can’t give it all away now”.

In the full interview, Alex discusses last album In Our Wake and bringing back producer John Feldman, working out what songs work well live as opposed to in the studio, the history of Atreyu as well as the future, their brief hiatus and what it meant to the bands longevity, what each member brought back to the band from that period, the next album and more.
