Origami Doll is a new single from the prog metal band ATAN. The song comes from the album Ugly Monster which was released in September 2022 by Polish label Lynx Music.
The video was captured and produced by drummer Jerry Sadowski who had a clear, crisp vision from the outset of how the production should look.
Vocalist Claudia had this to say about Origami Doll: “The song is about an experience I had at a pop-up bar, and how I thought the hostess must have been feeling or thinking about while performing her duties as a hostess in the event, which I can relate to and empathize with. The event was a wonderful multisensorial experience. There were hands coming out of holes from the wall with plant-based canapés on them. On another note, I was listening to and was inspired by a lot of St Vincent’s work when writing stuff for the album. I admire her work a lot and think she is one of the rare super well rounded-all-in-one types of artists, and she gives a fantastic live show, which Andy and I got to see.”
