ARSE have today released the psychedelic visual for Night Shift Blues, the third and final single from the band’s new EP Kaputt., out now on Grupo Records.
The clip follows Sydney comedy legend John Cruckshank through an OJ-soaked nightmare on repeat. Like a modern-day Dante dredging the Inferno, Cruckshank blazes his way through endless vices in the pursuit of comedy gold, only to arrive back where he started. Shot guerilla-style in Sydney’s inner west, NSB was directed by Luke J Smith, co-creator of Cruckshank’s cult online comedy series, Redfern Electrical.
Cruckshank is a staple of the Australian comedy touring circuit, and has appeared at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Sydney Comedy Festival, ABC’s Tonight with Tom Ballard and more. The first episode of his self-funded online series, Redfern Electrical, has amassed more than 160k views
ARSE will celebrate the release of Kaputt. with three thumping shows in Naarm/Melbourne, Gadigal Country/Sydney and Meanjin/Brisbane this April.
