In a move that could be straight from George Orwell’s 1984, Apple have been granted a patent on technology that uses infrared signals to prevent your iPhone from taking pictures or video at gigs. The tech giant originally first applied for the patent five years ago and it was granted this week by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
This new technology has the potential to block your iPhone from recording video or taking photos within a certain range. Sure, it’s annoying to see people with their phone in the air for an hour, but do we really want Big Brother telling what we can and can’t do? You can read more about it HERE.
