Anthrax have unleashed the film clip for their epic new song, Blood Eagle Wings. Guitarist Scott Ian spoke to Rolling Stone recently about the new tune: “I think it’s our masterpiece of a song,” he says. “It’s the biggest, coolest thing we’ve ever written.
“Any great city, whether it’s London, Rome, Paris, New York, Los Angeles – these cities are alive because of how many people were killed to make these cities what they are, how much blood was spilled over time,” says Ian of the theme of Blood Eagle Wings.”
Ian has been in the spotlight recently over his strong opinions on illegal downloading and where he thinks the music industry sits today. He was interviewed in the latest issue of HEAVY Music Magazine, where he left us with no doubts as to where he sits on the issue, and we totally agree! “I think you’re a f*cking c*unt if you steal music,” Ian erupted in furious anger. “If someone wants to steal an Anthrax record, let them come to my house and take it.”
For All Kings is out now via Nuclear Blast.
