Progressive instrumental metal band Angels on the Battlefield have released a new single and music video for a reimagined version of their song Modern Prometheus, inspired by Mary Shelley’s classic horror/science fiction novel Frankenstein. This epic piece serves to highlight the effects and emotions associated with severe anxiety exhibited by the main character of Victor as he spirals down an endless rabbit hole of despair in an attempt to conquer death itself.
Angels on the Battlefield is a four-piece powerhouse of musicians featuring former members of the thrash-groove metal band Butcher Babies (bassist Jason Klein), and Chinese folk metal legends Voodoo Kungfu (guitarist JD McGibney and drummer William Liermann). The band also features award-winning TV and film composer Chris Wirsig on keyboard.
