Melbourne-based alt/indie rock band Among The Restless have released their new single, Cutting Corners. Following performances alongside heavyweights like Bring Me The Horizon and Deftones at Good Things Festival, and Wolfmother and You Am I at Uncaged Festival, the locals have not taken their foot of the gas, setting an extremely high standard with their new release.
Over its 2:41 runtime, Cutting Corners blends elements of classic rock with a more modern alternative edge, further building upon their distinctive, guitar-driven sound. Despite its title, Cutting Corners is anything but a shortcut in quality. The track represents a significant step-up for Among The Restless, showcasing their growth collectively as a band.
“Cutting Corners is a recount of growth and the confusion that comes hand in hand with it,” the band said. “We approached the sound and writing process differently, and our natural progression as a unit really shines through. The emotion runs deep in this track, which is something we always strive for.”
