Adelaide’s Ambleside are on a roll in 2018! Having been announced on the Mortal Coil Tour, supporting Headliners Polaris and The Plot in You and alongside Darwin lads Tapestry, they announced two extra shows supporting The Plot in You and are today announcing new single Blur and an accompanying video!

New single Blur will be out on Friday April 13, coinciding with the beginning of the epic Mortal Coil tour that will take them around Australia. The video sees an animated version of vocalist Dan Stevens, walking and jumping his way around the suburban environs through and between the band members, as they play the track and seemingly multiply and appear everywhere the animated character goes.

Bursting onto the punk hardcore scene in 2013, Ambleside have proven themselves as a creative force to be reckoned with. With DIY roots and their unique brand of emotionally raw music, the Adelaide five piece have kicked impressive goals since formation – amassing over 2 million streams across media platforms and notching up 9 tours of Australia, while playing shows alongside with legendary names of heavy music, including Silverstein, Counterparts, Trophy Eyes, Hellions, Ocean Grove and In Hearts Wake.

At the core of Ambleside is connection and friendship. Bursting onto the punk hardcore scene in 2013, the Adelaide five piece have literally lived and breathed their music, living together ever since formation. This live-in experience has sparked a united creative collective of friends, allowing Ambleside to take an immersive and DIY approach to every facet of their music. Their self-produced debut EP and music videos, as well as self-designed and home printed merch have allowed the band members’ own creativity to flood through everything the band touches, with impressive outcomes of recognition: Ambleside came away from the South Australian Screen Awards in 2016 with “Wash Away” being awarded Best Music Film Clip.

Vocalist Dan spoke of the emotional vulnerability that the band puts into their music – “Every song we release, lyrically is about a significant moment in life that I have struggled to get through. Writing about these situations has not only helped me through genuinely processing some of these issues, but also helped me heal and therefore moulded the person that I am today.” The band’s intention is to make a difference to the lives of listeners who can relate to similar experiences in their life. This connection via relatability is potently reflected by Ambleside’s tracks surpassing 2 million streams across media platforms, and by audiences of their live shows passionately screaming the words along with their band.

The new single Blur is out this Friday on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon and Bandcamp and the band is on tour from Friday 13th April on the Mortal Coil tour alongside Polaris, The Plot in You and Tapestry.
