US rockers, Alter Bridge, will release their fourth studio album, Fortress, on 27 September 2013.
Fortress was recorded and produced by Michael ‘Elvis’ Baskette, who has also worked with the likes of Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus and Trivium and includes 13 tracks ranging from some softer stuff to what their label, Roadrunner Records, describes as “unapologetic, searing hard rock that Alter Bridge has come to be synonymous with”
Alter Bridge guitarist, Mark Termonti, commented on the new album “When we started pre-production on this album, we pushed ourselves harder and further than we ever have previously in order to make the most out of every individual arrangement. We wanted this album to be our most unpredictable and exciting one yet. From the early feedback we have received, it looks like we have achieved what we set out to do.”
HEAVY has already predicted that Alter Bridge will be on the Soundwave 2014 lineup (check out our lineup rumours HERE) and the timing of the album’s release only adds to the liklihood.
