“I think it’s always about taking risks, calculated risks”, measured All Time Low frontman Alex Gaskarth, “but you can’t ever really get… I never wanna do the same thing and I think to be safe in what you’re doing creatively gets boring for people. Even if sometimes the visceral reaction is the first thing that people come back with or whatever, I think it’s important to challenge people in expression. I don’t anticipate we’re ever gonna get any safer (laughs). I wanna keep trying new things with this band”.
