For more than a quarter of a century, Bodyjar have pounded the proverbial punk pavement, churning out attitude-driven, catchy music that has seen the band welcomed into the hearts and ears of music lovers everywhere.
With songs like Not The Same, Is It A Lie, One In A Million and Get Out Of My Head – and even an awesome cover of the Bangles Hazy Shade Of Winter – Bodyjar have aged better than the best bottle of wine and this year head out on the road with Gyroscope to celebrate 25 years since the release of their classic album No Touch Red.
But before that, Bodyjar treated Brisbane fans to a special performance at this year’s Spring Loaded festival. Despite being on with the sun still harshly beating down, Bodyjar did what they have always done and decimated the stage, setting the tone for a sensational day of Australian music.
HEAVY was granted exclusive backstage interviews on the day, and Cory Stevenson (in his first ever video interview) and Kris Peters had the pleasure of chatting with Bodyjar frontman Cam Baines. In fact, all four interviews with Frenzal Rhomb, Screamfeeder, Bodyjar and Eskimo Joe were so good we decided to publish the videos as well!
