Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford, while speaking on the Eddie Trunk Podcast, has revealed that Aerosmith have had discussions of a farewell tour.
Whitford said “We are actually talking about putting together a sort of wind-down tour which we would call a farewell tour…I guess it’s just because of our age. Something’s gonna happen. It’s just inevitable that somebody’s not going to be able to do it anymore.”
“So it would be very nice to take a nice long bow and say ‘thank you’ and let people come around and see it for the last time and put it to bed gracefully…I hope we can make that happen but … we’ll see.”
According to, Whitford also revealed that his revived Whitford/St Holmes project hoped to tour with fellow Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry – or Perry’s new all star band with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp, The Hollywood Vampires – next year.
