Breakout Brisbane progressive metalcore outfit Aeon Nexus have dropped their debut single Twin Hurricanes, signalling an explosive start for the quartet. Twin Hurricanes will be the first in a series of singles set to be released over the coming months, culminating in a full EP release in spring 2024.
The powerful track was mixed and mastered by Chris Themelco of Monolith Studios (Psycroptic, Orpheus Omega, Triple Kill) and the artwork designed by Visual Amnesia of Jinjer’s Macro artwork fame.
The new vision of mainstay Brisbane metal frontwoman Sam Wolstenholme, Aeon Nexus have been making waves in the local metal scene in the short time since they formed in late 2023 with a successful debut gig supporting Citadel. The band are gearing up for a busy 2024 with shows already booked across Queensland right out to the end of the year.
Twin Hurricanes delivers a multi-layered modern metalcore soundscape driven by pulsating grooves, crushing breakdowns and shimmering 80s synths. Infectiously catchy chorus melodies battle for dominance with scorching screams in a sharp and assertive track that will please any Spiritbox or Architects fan.
