After the release and tour of the high, speed, high-energy single Gasoline earlier this year, Melbourne-based hard rockers Ablaze are back and sporting a little southern-rock swagger in the form of brand new single Old Scratch.
A modern take on the age-old crossroads duel with the devil, with a twist—it’s a drink-off! A fine blend of both modern and southern blues rock mixed with Ablaze’s signature ear-worm choruses, big harmonies and solid guitar-driven groove, Old Scratch delivers a sound that’s both nostalgic and true to their unique brand of modern hard rock.
And of course, with any great single, comes a great single launch. To mark the release of Old Scratch, Ablaze will be taking to the stage at the world-famous Cherry Bar on Saturday, November 18, with Sydney’s legendary Wicked Things and up-and-coming punk-grunge-groovers They Might Be Dead Frogs along for the ride.
