Rising Sydney emo pop-punk quartet A Swift Farewell is set to release their highly anticipated second single
The Haunting, ft. Amariah of Future Static and announce their debut EP, Hollow Threats – due June 6.
A Swift Farewell delivers their heaviest single yet with The Haunting, opening with eerie children’s laughter that provides an unsettling tone right from the start. Sarah Bonnet’s powerful guitar conducts an explosive intro, leading into Gab Michael’s gnarly bass tone in the verse, establishing the song’s heavy and dark atmosphere.
The chorus takes the band into new territory, featuring Ryo Andi’s falsetto vocals and an intricate, fast-paced drum pattern by Dwayne Morris. Then comes the highly anticipated feature: Amariah Cook from Future Static joins for an emotional verse about being too broken to love, before guiding us into a powerful circle pit with the band’s heaviest breakdown to date. If you make it through, you’ll be treated to a final chorus with beautiful harmonies, both emotional and energetic.
