There’s trouble afoot in the Disneyverse.
Ever since the inception of the Star Wars Cinematic Universe, there has been an outcry from diehard fans of the original series: from the Extended Universe being declared non-canon to Mark Hamill’s criticism of the new writers, Disney has faced contention in every creative element.
Once again, dispute has broken out – this time over the planned Han Solo prequel movie. After directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (of “21 Jump Street” fame) left the project over “creative differences”, the movie has been left in stasis, with a new director to be announced soon. How this change will affect the completion of the project remains to be seen.
