Avant-garde rock stars Palaye Royale have announced their sixth studio album, Amsterdamage. The album is set to be released on January 22, and the first track to feature on it, Lost In Translation, is out now. In 2024 the brothers lost their mother, Stephanie Rachel, to cancer. Their biggest champion, the person who first taught them that art was something nobody could ever take away – was gone.
Emerson said: “I think if we didn’t have this album, we would have all kind of gone separate ways. After losing our mother, this is our phoenix rising from the ashes. Each one of us took our own paths in dealing with death, and rejoined not only as individuals, but with our partners, and as brothers. This creative bond was the thing that kept us together.”
Written throughout 2025 between relentless touring, Amsterdamage took shape everywhere from the San Diego coastline to the Netherlands before being completed in Chris Greatti‘s Los Angeles studio.
