What a ripper debut E.P!
These guys are as brand new as it gets. From Lemgo, North Rhine-Westphalia Germany, they’re definitely a band for Marilyn Manson and Rammstein fans worldwide. Their debut single that has been released on Spotify, Bandcamp etc. Killing Time is a great debut single featuring as the first track from the E.P.
With an awesome punk rock vibe intro, it soon slips in to a very industrial feel and straight into a near nu-metal verse. Great vocals with just enough gravel and cleans to be impressed and appreciated. Accompanying Damon Ryder’s unique vocals – an awesome sing along chorus soon followed. This song is definitely a stand out for me with an awesome halftime feel that soon gets the lead break flowing into the song nicely.
Great production and really well written songs – a great start to the E.P.
Never Sleep Again
This is a much more Damon Ryder feeling track and who doesn’t love a crowd interaction ‘HEY HEY HEY HEY‘ to start off a track? I can see it now! These guys are gonna be a tonne of fun to see live! While this is a little more metal, there’s definitely still a (Marilyn) Manson feel there, especially with the vocal, although the guitar parts stay metal and the sound is HUGE… I likey! The chorus slows down a little and there’s a nu-metal/ Korn edge to the chorus. Not overdone or too obvious, just cool enough to prick your ears to attention. With that said I can still hear industrial samples present on all songs without being overdone too. Great track.
Next up the Atomic Assassins crew rip out a cover, Touch Me. And what an absolute ripper, Sam Fox would be blushing listening to this! Yup, Touch Me is a Samantha Fox original and these guys do it sooo good. With the same amount of industrial samples as before but this time I feel like the guitars had a little more nu-metal come through on the peddle board. I absolutely love a pop song turned metal and these legends absolutely owned it. I’ll be keeping my ears to the ground hoping I can see Atomic Assassins live over here in Australia, or who knows maybe the PistonFist crew might make a visit to Germany soon…
