Sarah Jane & The Noise is an alt-rock band based in Eora/Sydney, built around a sound that blends the grit of ’90s grunge with a mellow and vulnerable tone. The project began with Sarah Jane — a solo artist who rose to prominence on YouTube, gaining over 300K subscribers and more than 40 million views through covers and performances that connected with a global audience. In seeking a live band to bring original material to life, what started as a logistical move turned into something much deeper: a genuine musical connection that gave rise to Sarah Jane & The Noise.
Their debut single, I Don’t Wanna, speaks to those who view the world a bit differently, coming from Sarah’s personal experience in the YouTube spotlight whilst navigating the world as a young neurodivergent woman.
Sarah Jane & The Noise will celebrate the release with a launch party at The Trocadero Room on May 23 with support from Social Strangers and Refinery Drive.
