NevBorn are a progressive metal band (Circa survive, The Ocean, Tesseract, Agent Fresco, …) from Western Switzerland. Although inspired by many different sources, our songs stand out because of their narrative side, in the way of a movie soundtrack.
Depicting the 8th labour of Heracles (taming the Mares of Diomedes), Tirida contrasts the despotism of Diomedes with the untamed power of his monstrous horses. As Heracles liberates the bloodthirsty creatures, the song captures themes of rebellion, destruction, and retribution. The escalating chaos in the music mirrors the downfall of the tyrant and the unleashed force of nature.
