Recognised as having a powerful vocal style comparable to many alternative rock vocalists from artists of the 90s including Soundgarden, Silverchair, Pearl Jam and Jeff Buckley, local musician Zaac Thompson is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in Brisbane (Meanjin), Australia.
Zaac captivates the audience with raw emotion and an energetic stage presence, and has been actively playing in bands and touring around multiple states of Australia since 2016. Zaac has been the primary songwriter for Nonberk since 2019 and has released two albums and an EP under the band’s name. Zaac has also played in Odius supporting international artists such as Soilwork, Artillery and ex Megadeth members in Kings Of Thrash.
Zaac released his second single Sunlight on January 3 2025. This track showcases an uplifting mood, and demonstrates his ability to compose and perform for all instruments on the track.
