From the dusty roads of Nashville to our own sun-kissed shores, the music of Chris Stapleton has resonated with audiences worldwide. His sold-out shows here in 2025 are testament to his appeal. Traveller is a show featuring some of Sydney’s most accomplished musicians, all dedicated to capturing the raw emotion and authenticity that define his music.

Glenn Esmond, of The Butterfly Effect, leads the group on vocals and guitar. Ally Friendship (backing vocals) has played with Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll and Jon Stevens. Dave Kempton (lead guitar) studied classical trumpet and jazz guitar at the NZ School of Music and has played with Natalie Imbruglia among a plethora of others. Sam Boyd (keys) has also played with Guy Sebastian and country legends Adam Brand and James Blundell. Tim Herbig and Reno Torrisi (bass and drums) round out the rhythm section. They can be found playing with Ally in the Australian Shania Twain show and weekly around town with Sydney’s very own guitar phenom, Peter Northcote.

On November 16 at the George IV Inn in Picton, join us for a journey that celebrates these incredible songs. From the heart-wrenching ballads to the whiskey-soaked singsongs, every tune is played with precision and total respect for the original.
