Opening with crowd favourite Lit Up, Buckcherry had fans on their feet as soon as they got on the stage at the Prince Bandroom on Thursday night. With the mixed crowd of long-term fans and a few new faces, Buckcherry was there to rock out. Buckcherry’s band of hard rock, with energy that cannot be missed, brought a wave of adrenaline into the crowd.
Out of the gate, drums and guitars sent reverberations through the body. Josh Todd is a great frontman, snarling every lyric in his distinct rock n’ roll, raw voice. He was off his feet as usual, jumping around the stage and the crowd went wild. The tightness of the band’s groove and killer guitar solos so crisp they cut through the mix with utter precision, and with a tone you won’t hear anywhere else.
The guitars delivered sharp, aggressive riffs, and made their way beautifully into thunderous, hard-hitting drumming, creating a sonic force that reverberated throughout the night. The band worked in perfect harmony, each filling the space with a balanced yet explosive sound that had the audience fully engaged from start to finish.
The front row headbangers and those further back stood on their feet, in unison singing, shouting, and dancing. The atmosphere was electric, it was easily noticeable that Buckcherry knew how to work a crowd and keep the energy simmering from beginning to end, playing a mix of new songs and classics including Sorry and their energetic cover of Say Fuck It (I Don’t Care).
The night ended with notably their biggest hit and the night’s crowd favourite, Crazy Bitch. The band finished off to a loud cheer, leaving the room buzzing. The performance highlighted not only their musical talent but also their ability to craft an unforgettable live show. For attendees, it was obvious that Buckcherry were still more than capable of bringing the house down and leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to see it in the flesh.
In the evolving realm of rock music, Buckcherry seems to be holding on to its roots while also striving to push the boundaries of what live rock can be. Thursday night’s performance was a testament to their staying power and their undying commitment to delivering top-notch live experiences.
