GROOVER Review: THE MOSFETS ‘Sign Of Affection’

Rock/punk outfit The Mosfets have released their first single, Sign Of Affection, which is taken from their upcoming album.

Kicking off with a solitary guitar riff, things start to intensify with a quickening drum fill before expanding into an energetic rock number with plenty of throwbacks to the psychedelic 60s, especially with the guitar tone.

Carefree, aloof vocals continue the ethereal type feel of the song, with the occasional female backing parts adding yet more of a throwback nature to the song.

It’s a fun, unobtrusive piece of music that manages to combine the band’s obvious 60s influences with a more modern twist to create a merging of sonic worlds that is raw, fun and catchy.
