Vol 1: Violence, Perth hardcore outfit Pincer+ share new single Closer To God and announce the EP’s long awaited counterpart, Hunting God Tapes. Vol 2: Romance, available on vinyl and out via Greyscale Records on November 24.
Closer To God shares a glimpse into the aggressive sonic palette on offer on Pincer’s second extended instalment, Vol. 2: Romance.
“Thematically, ‘Romance’ goes back to the roots of it all – the source of the damage on Violence,” tells in-house producer and guitarist Josh Ang.
“Sonically it’s angry. It’s angry and violent and hurt, and it’s thrashed around under my skin for so many years in the making, waiting to be given a mouth to be heard. Personally, Romance is healing. Mistakes I’ve made, personified into something real and tangible as a reminder never to make them again.”
