Melbourne alternative rock band Everlyne have catapulted in a formidable new direction with their latest single, The Inbetween, featuring a fiery guest spot from Brisbane-based hip-hop artist, Rivilin.
Everlyne’s mammoth new track fuses a dark, dramatic sound with refined electronic production and features. In collaboration with producer Chris Lalic (Windwaker, The Last Martyr), the quartet have delivered their most impressive release yet, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the band.
Throughout the single, vocalist Mackenzie Shaye moves from emotive to anthemic with ease creating a cinematic earworm that seeks to keep listeners hooked at every turn.
Speaking to the song’s themes and conception, Shaye shares, “The Inbetween describes the motion and feeling of taking back the power from someone who previously held it over you, whilst also learning to accept your own fate in the process.”
