Making their mark on the Australian metal scene since 2016, Melbourne act Primitive are set to strengthen their presence and demand the attention of the unsuspecting, with the release of their second single God Is Beneath Us and new EP With The Rats And Snakes.
Without limiting themselves to a particular sub-genre, Primitive incorporate their brand of abrasive yet memorable riffs, solos, grooves and hooks – sounding something reminiscent of the wave of early 2000s American heavy metal and metalcore styles.
Frontman/guitarist Tim Gauci comments “‘God Is Beneath Us’ is considered in our camp to be one of, if not the best Primitive song to date. The blend of thrash and groove is something we find really enjoyable to write, and I think will translate really well in a live setting. We can’t wait to see the pit go hard with this one!”
With The Rats And Snakes is to be officially launched September 9 at The Bendigo Hotel and September 10 at Sound Systems Studio Bar with Sydney thrash/death metal titans.
