SI-FEST Massive Benefit Gig Announced

The metal family is never stronger than when one of our own is in need.

Especially when that person is as likable, loveable, and downright talented as Massic vocalist Simon Russell-White.

In December Simon collapsed while running with an exploded aorta that required immediate and highly risky open-heart surgery. The initial prognosis was grim but after 8 hours of open-heart surgery Simon defied medical opinion and thankfully pulled through.

Simon’s entire life and family have been affected by this near tragedy and it is only fitting that his metal family get together to show support – both financially and emotionally.

Thus Si-Fest was born.

Adriatic, F.U.C, Diskust, PistonFist, Azreal, A Somerset Parade and Elephant (who will be playing their comeback show) will all appear at the Mansfield Tavern on Saturday, February 20 with all monies to go to Simon to aid in recovery and medical expenses.

Tickets in a monster raffle will also be on sale and drawn in a Goose Club fashion whereby one ticket gets you in the draw for each prize. Tickets for this will be $10 and available on the night. So far prizes include a double pass to Steel Panther/Sevendust, double pass to Under The Southern Stars, double pass to Monsters of Rock at the Mansfield, double pass to a future Octane Entertainment show of your choice, double pass to The AC/DC Story in Redcliffe and a double pass (including meet and greet) to the next Brisbane show by The Screaming Jets. All concert tickets will be for the Brisbane show of each tour only, with more to be announced.

There will also be one-off merchandise including T-Shirts and Hoodies that will be available pre-sale only.
