’98 was the year that dawned the concept album, “Cruelty and the Beast”. It’s based on the life of mass murderer Elizabeth Bathory a Hungarian Countess and who tortured then murdered hundreds of women in the 16th and 17th centuries. Many say this is COF’s finest album and those that don’t agree it’s almost theirs, either way this will be the ONLY chance Cradle Of Filth will be playing this in Australia.
